AG Witt, LLC was founded on the belief that every community deserves the tools and support to overcome the challenges of emergencies and disasters. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful mission: to empower communities and organizations to manage and recover effectively from emergencies.
Founded by James Lee Witt, former Director of FEMA, and Frank Robinson, AG Witt, LLC has grown into a trusted authority in disaster management and recovery.
Our Founders
James Lee Witt's eight-year tenure as FEMA Director transformed the agency, significantly enhancing its professionalism and disaster response capabilities. His experience coordinating responses, in both the public and private sectors, to over 400 disasters established him as a foremost expert in the field. This expertise forms the foundation of AG Witt's approach, emphasizing proactive mitigation and preparedness.
James Lee Witt and Frank Robinson’s paths initially crossed during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. James Lee was engaged with the State of New Jersey to manage the recovery of one of the largest storms to ever hit the United States. At the time, Frank Robinson was on the board of the New Jersey Builders Association. Seven years later, James Lee and Frank Robinson were re-introduced. Frank had created and was operating the Federal Contractor Financing Program (FCFP), an innovative solution providing short-term funding to contractors working in disaster recovery areas. This program accelerates the recovery process, allowing communities to rebuild and restore essential services more quickly. James Lee, looking for his next private sector venture, recognized Frank’s innovation and the two decided to bring their relationships, expertise, and leadership to co-found a public administration, disaster management, and resilience company.
